In addition to the articles from WOA's dedicated professional contributors and field correspondants, we would like to foster and promote more sharing of adventures, stories and experiences from private contributors. High quality Aviator Caps & Polo-shirts with unqiuely customized and professional graphic designs Types of Story We are looking for personal, nonfiction stories and anecdotes-funny, illuminating, adventurous or educational. Stories that reflect that unique alchemy that occurs when you enter unfamiliar territory and begin to see the world differently as a result. Submission Guidelines & Eligibility For Stories/Articles/Event Reports: - At least 1000 words in length or whatever it takes - Asia Pacific or Middle East specific contents. Non-fiction only - Self written original story content from own experience or observations - Have accompanying photographs if possible but not mandantory. Articles that are accompanied by photographs or illustrations are more likely to be used. Photos of people and places described in your article are recommended. - Stories that have already been published elsewhere are welcome as long as you have the copyright or can obtain permission from the copyright holder to reprint the material. - Langauges accepted: English, Korean, Japanese, Thai, Malay, Chinese For Photographs: - Original and in 35mm prints (5R or above size prints) or high resolution JPG/GIF/PSD image files (min 1024 by 768 resolution) - Color or black and white prints with sharp focus and crisp, clear colors will work equally well - Subject or content of photographs should be Asia Pacific or Middle East specific. - GA subjects and activities ONLY excluding airline and military content Biographical Information Please include a few sentences about yourself, something quirky and fun in addition to the usual list of accomplishments. Non-winning articles or photographs may still be published but no prizes are given. If your submission is a blog with pictures about your experience at a general aviation event in your neighbourhood and you're the first to submit the story, we will reward you with a cap and shirt set without the need for monthly judging. We currently don't monetarily pay private authors, photographers or artists for their work. That's a reflection of our budget, not our respect for your work. We can give you an opportunity to display your talents to hundreds of members and untold thousands through our World Wide Web site. We couldn't produce this fine publication and web site without your stories and photographs, so we'll treat your contributions with utmost respect.
